YAMAHA DRIVE INSTALLATION /VIDEOS PHOTOS

Step 8

GAS AND ELECTRIC CARTS. ASSEMBLE THE REAR POST ANGLE IRON BRACKET.

Using a 10-32 x 3/4” bolt, washers on both sides and Nylock nut, assemble the Standout to the Rear Post Angle Iron.

Notice the 2 holes that are on the Bracket, one is larger than the other. The large hole will attach to the bolt that was either 1) installed by YOU on your electric cart, or 2) already installed by Yamaha for the gas cart. The second hole is optional. If, while you have your batteries out of the cart, you would like to add an additional screw to the cart, you will need to drill another hole through the Metal Channel AND the plastic floor. Should you decide to do this option, use a 10-32 x 1 1/4” screw, washers on both sides, and Nylock nut. The second photo shown below is looking up into the bottom of the cart and shows the Rear Bracket attached to the cart. The large hole is placed over the hole in the metal channel and is large enough to cover the raised portion of the Metal Channel that surrounds the hole. Make sure you cover the raised portion completely so the Bracket is flush against the bottom of the Metal Channel when you tighten the nut. For gas carts, you will need to use the 8 MM nut that we have included in the hardware package.

NOTE: The angle iron is slotted to allow for adjustments when lining the door parallel to the Header (see below).
